More garden love

Have I not been paying attention to my street - where did this little pop-up garden come from? Sure, I'd noticed others around the neighbourhood but not this one. How exciting! (especially when you don't have a backyard.) Might have to drop in some herb seeds and see what happens.

Mikes Mirabel does eBay

Go forth and buy softies, for a cause, on eBay people! Yay for Mikes, yay for Mirabel.



In other non-news, I must be having some sort of winter thing going on - haven't been making anything lately. Nothing. Nix. Have taken some photos, that's about it. Yep, it's just cold here. Perhaps I'm hibernating.

Elephant Mirabel

Finally got around to making a Mirabel elephant, this one using fabric I printed the other week. It's the first time (I think) that I've used my own fabric on an elephant and I kinda like it, I think.


Dropped it off yesterday and the window looks *amazing* as usual. More snaps on Flickr.

Hearts for Mikes & Mirabel

Finally got some time to make hearts for Mikes' Hearts for Mirabel campaign-thingo when my inherited sewing machine (which is rather old and can be seen here) decided to stop working :( I wanted to make some sort of mobile of hearts, but that won't be happening as hand sewing takes a lot longer than the machine kind, as I discovered. Oh well, these are it then. On the back is a black and white spotted fabric and the front is, funnily enough, hearts from a kinda charming and very sturdy Ikea cotton fabric.



And there are a heap more hearts over here, made by the 105 members (and rising) of the I Heart Mirabel Flickr group set up by Pip at Mikes. Woo hoo.
