What's that you see? Well, that would be my new tea towel design, which is finally ready. Woot! Appropriately, it's called the 'T Towel'.
It's inspired by - not surprisingly - the letter T, and features my hand-drawn renderings of various Ts, including Garamond, Hoefler, Kevlar, Mrs Eaves and Caslon. At the moment it comes in black on crisp, white linen and will be in the shop soon.

Computer says No
I logged onto my computer this morning, as normal, and what did I see?
What's that, you say - a normal desktop? Well that it might be a default desktop, but it's not my desktop. And Adobe Creative Suite, where have you gone? It was like someone had waved a giant magnet over my computer and hey presto - all gone!
Upon closer inspection - and after a minor hissy fit - I finally found all my data, hidden away (*whew*), which I quickly backed up (haven't done that in a long time!) But whatever happened to my profile I do not know. Guess I'll spend the next few days trying to figure that out, and how to get everything actually working again (ie: HELLO wiping disk and starting again - argh! Worst nightmare!)
And that is why paper and pen is better than computer.
The end.

Beaching and printing
Although summer has been decidedly un-summery, so far I have managed to spend one afternoon lazying on the beach, which was sooo lovely. There were few shells on the beach but lots of seaweed and green things, so I brought back some reminders.
But that's a distant memory now - as I've said before, it's back to work (but with renewed vigour, I might say). Lately all my spare time's gone to printing and creating mess. I recently made up a new and improved screen of my Enka pattern and am liking it a lot. And soon (well, I hope it's soon) I'll have some exciting news on the printing front. We'll see. But for now, there's just a whole lot of half-done tea towels. And some all finished and in the shop.

Thanks Bloesem Kids!
OK, now it's almost halfway into the first month of this year - how did that happen? I guess it's a good thing that things are busy already - back to work after a refreshing break of a couple of weeks, and right into it. In fact, I've almost forgotten the days spent doing crosswords and reading and sitting in the sun and doing not much more...
Anyway, just wanted to say a quick (and belated) thanks to Irene for her little write-up of me on Bloesem Kids (can't decide which I like better - BK or the original Bloesem - both so beautiful and inspiring). It's so very exciting to see your own work mentioned on a blog you love, and sitting beside all that amazing work of others.

Etsy-o-riffic
etWow, my elephant featured in an Etsy Treasury (by jennadesigns) that I've been able to see BEFORE it expires - yay! This treasury's super cool - it features type-related objects.
Thanks Jenna :)
